Breast MRI: Science, Technique, and Interpretation,

Including Clinical Correlation and Recent Developments

October 14-17, 2010

ProScan Imaging Theater
Cincinnati, OH

26 AMA PRA (Physician Recognition Award) Category 1 Credits™

THE CHANGING ROLE OF BREAST MRI

Breast MRI merges the two-dimensional morphologic assessment of mammography with the soft-tissue signal characterization of MRI, adding the distinct advantage of angiogenesis evaluation.

By definition, cancers invoke new blood-vessel growth -- a feature that is exploited by contrast-enhanced MRI. It also sets the modality apart in the range of tools used to diagnose and stage breast cancer. Yet learning the MRI appearance of different histologies, and differentiating them from benign causes of tissue enhancement, is a nuanced and complex task.

This course incorporates a detailed synopsis of breast MRI science, technique, and interpretation based on more than 20,000 cases of experience. It also explains its place within the milieu of total breast imaging and care. Numerous “live” case discussions are included to supplement the course lectures.

For Courses Presented at ProScan Imaging in Cincinnati
In order to provide optimal comfort for all attendees, we have two settings for viewing our courses.

The podium for our featured speakers is located in the ProScan Imaging Theater. A seat is reserved in this room for those whose registrations arrive first, unless they express a preference for the Education Center.

Once the ProScan Imaging Theater is filled to capacity we seat attendees in our Education Center, which is conveniently located down the hallway in the same building. Attendees in the Education Center view the course on large LCD screens by interactive videoconference links to the ProScan Imaging Theater.

Attendees in the Education Center also have the ability to ask and respond to questions through a room microphone. Many course attendees request and prefer this more casual seating. This seating is roomy, allowing attendees to easily get up and move around. All attendees share the same dining location, networking opportunities, access to our sponsors, and product demonstrations and are equally able to consult with the featured speakers during course breaks.
