Company Founder: Stephen J. Pomeranz, M.D.

Dr. Pomeranz is renowned as a world leader in the field of diagnostic imaging, particularly MRI. His experience interpreting in excess of 500,000 MRI examinations (including over 6,000 breast exams) and his passion for education and mentoring come together to provide an excellent learning experience for physicians and healthcare professionals.

Beginning with Dr. Pomeranz's service as Professor of Radiology and Department Chief of Radiology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), his educational efforts include the instruction of over 10,000 radiologists, orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, and neurologists in MR.

As the founder and Medical Director of ProScan Education Foundation, Dr. Pomeranz oversees a foundation that offers fellowship opportunities and continuing medical education programs for physicians throughout the United States and abroad. In addition, Dr. Pomeranz serves as diagnostic and technical consultant to many other medical and imaging institutions throughout the US and the world.

Dr. Pomeranz has authored numerous texts and developed multi-media teaching materials. His award-winning MRI Total Body Atlas is considered a classic in the field. He is author and editor of Craniospinal MRI, as well as author of internationally-acclaimed texts such as Orthopedic MRI: A Teaching File, Pitfalls & Variations in Neuro-Orthopedic MRI, Gamuts and Pearls in MRI & Orthopedics, and Gamuts & Pearls in Neurologic MRI. He edited Teleradiology Step by Step, co-authored a comprehensive text -- MRI of the Foot and Ankle, and is creating a full complement of CME CD-ROM and DVD titles on MRI.

In addition to ProScan, Dr. Pomeranz has founded the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society (CMRS), and the non-profit Cris Collinsworth ProScan Fund.  Dr. Pomeranz also acts as advisor to professional sports teams, including baseball, football, basketball, and others.
