Pink Ribbon Programs

The Pink Ribbon enhances the lives of women through knowledge, services, and hope. Through educating women on the importance of proactive breast health, providing compassionate breast care for all women and offering comfort and support for women newly diagnosed with breast cancer, the Pink Ribbon is saving women’s lives and strengthening their futures.

The Pink Ribbon Mammogram Match provides financial support for low-income, uninsured women to receive funded mammograms and other breast health services.

The ProScan Pink Ribbon Centers are women’s imaging centers, located in the underserved Over the Rhine and Madisonville areas, that overcome healthcare barriers and save the lives of women in the Greater Cincinnati area by providing the highest quality breast imaging and breast health services.

For women who are struggling to make ends meet, healthcare may be a concern that is not addressed until symptoms occur. The ProScan Pink Ribbon Centers address this dilemma by providing mammograms and other breast health services for ALL women.

The Pink Ribbon Bag, a gift bag designed to bring comfort and hope to a woman newly diagnosed with breast cancer. The Pink Ribbon Bag contains more that 20 items, including a satin pillowcase and inspirational books that are designed to help a woman as she begins her healing journey. The Pink Ribbon Bags are distributed nationally at no cost to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The bags are filled locally by high school students, increasing awareness of breast cancer among the younger generation.

Pink Ribbon Empowerment Program (PREP) is a culturally competent, age-appropriate community outreach program that teaches the importance of breast health through interactive presentations and empowers women to take charge of their health and lives. PREP is funded in part through the Charlotte R. Schmidlapp Fund, Fifth Third Bank, Trustee.

“Cruisin’ for a Cure…Are you on Board?” is a program that provides complimentary transportation to and from mammogram appointments via two distinctive pink vans. “Cruisin’ for a Cure” is funded in part through the Marvin Lewis Community Fund and other community partners.
